@smceccarelli thanks for the reply. So far I am on the same page as you in regards to interiors. My brother who is an art major told me to just keep drawing realistic backgrounds from photos and then my ability to make backrounds more absurd will come much more natural over time. Most of my life my art has been mainly drawing characters and barely much background, so that is why I asked.
Btw, you should definitely make more youtube videos.
@Jake-Parker Thanks for your reply here, I already watched your video on this which is great...but I just wanted to say this post is hugely helpful too (speaking as someone who's also been pondering stylistic choices recently..) and I think the phrase "style is a natural outgrowth of an artist mastering their craft" is going to stick with me.
@DanetteDraws I've been trying to whittle down the words to fit the images in my head. I have a good idea of how the pictures should be, but I can't tell the whole story with just the pictures. It's easy to cut out visual descriptions but my story is pushed by dialog.
