      @Bobby-Fasel Thank you for that I will certainly check it out! Lessons learned, and luckily on a small scale!

      @Lynn-Larson Yeah it's all working out okay. The original look is so simple that it's an easy visual for young readers to approach. Thanks for all your help!

      @Camila-Picheco I've down graded the size of the red and made some minor adjustments. I'm now toying with the blue shirt as you suggested and it is looking better! Thank you very much!

      Thank you so much for your thoughts.
      I've been trying to get back into the forum with no luck...
      I tried every password...well
      then I finally realized I signed in with Facebook...

      I haven't worked on this in a while...I had something else I needed to work on. I totally agree it needs more interest...

      thanks again.

      I keep on coming back to this image like a moth to a flame, lol. I really like how you depicted the light emanating from the globe. And her expression adds so much life to her character 🙂

      @Kevin-Longueil Yes I saw it as the fiddler being on the far side of the riverbank along with Charly. Charly looks like maybe he is waving across the river to the man (knight?) on the near side next to the tree. I like the idea of dappled light on Charly and the fiddler - that should really help pick them out at a distance 🙂

      @Jana Thank you. I do struggle with hair but for these I was aiming for sharp edges all around the portraits.

      Lovely concept! About the perspective : What @Ace-Connell says is correct, It would be better to have one 'point of view. And I also think is that it would be fun to play with light and shadow more. maybe to put a bit more drama in it, by adding stronger lights and shadows?

      as far as the image is concerned, you might want to try cropping the image a bit. There is a lot of negative space on the right hand side. Here is kind of what I was thinking.
      alway_early___evie_ann_by_nightseye-d9dlf3s.jpg

      Also the shadows on the ground are very harsh. When you are playing with light and shadow you've got to think of where the sun is coming from and what sort of shadow and highlightit would produce. There isn't a very strong sense of shadow in the rest of the piece besides on the characters. You might want to add shadows to the valley areas in the distance. That's my 2 cents.

      @Kevin-Longueil
      Sorry for coming back to you so late. You are right with Edes head. If you see the first image of him, he has a kind of oval head. Maybe that is why it looks somehow weird in this drawing. I will try to improve it. Right now I am distracted from Ede by Rapunzel as you saw. 😊
      Thanks again for your great feedback. It made the piece already much stronger.

      I'm stoked for the iPad Pro coming out. I'm going to be giving Procreate a run for it's money. The new Procreate was the app used for the majority of the iPad Pro promo video by the way.
