It looks amazing. May be one of them is the mother and as there are dishes in the background so maybe she’s wearing an apron and has a bit long hair on her. Adding props to the zombies can make them unique i guess

Hi, @adam-thornton-0 ! Thanks a lot for your feedback and ideas. I will try to paint Santa dark on light. I like your idea with hard edges. I really feel like the objects are being lost on the background. I do need to push this more. I would love to see your Santa's factory illustration too!

I would make the front characters a little bigger and try to overlap them some.

I m currently working on a step to step timelapse video for my followers on IG ,
regarding the stages I go through when making a digital illustration.

I upload a step every day ,and I answer questions regarding that step.
Figured I d share this here if anyone is interested to see another approach to art , and also to get feedback and critiques.

I'm not an expert when it comes to gesture drawing so I can't give much of a critique. But the first and third image are my favorite, I think it is becuase of the strong straights vs curves that you are playing with. Michael Parker's new course has a good section on gesture drawing (along with +400 non-nude images to draw from) and we have a course dedicated to gesture drawing coming next month! Brooklyn Walker, a character designer at Sony animation is teaching that course.

Fun! It reads clearly to me (I think). Godzilla tromping through the snow to go destroy the city? I'd suggest sketching out a few different options for both the pose and the overall shape of the smoke. I think these two elements have a lot of potential to affect the impact of the piece, and it's worth trying out a few options to fine tune things.

This is great! Love the comic feel of it and you can imagine what the wizard is saying or would love to say.....anyone with kids or pets could relate, I'm sure 😉

You're 100% right. Thanks. I imposed the drawing on the original photo and just cut the drawing and pasted the pieces so that they match the original. Here is the before and after. It shows where the faults are, how his body is too much to the front. Cool.

@evilrobot Thanks for your feedback! Since I've already started on the second piece in pencil I'll work on what I can change (mostly the wolf at this point) and keep the suggestions in mind for future pieces. I initially choose to have the composition centered because I wanted to emphasize the starting and ending point for this character and wasn't sure another composition would highlight the differences as well as a centered comp. In the future I'll try making it less balanced and more dynamic.

I agree the first image is still super rough. I think I'll see about adding kids in the alley way to take up some of the space and move the main character as well. There does seem to be a lot of dead space in the first image. I didn't notice it before. I'll have to see what I can do to fix the composition and the blank space.

great concept--However, I would really push the size of the bear if I were you. Maybe, due to the fact that you aren't supposed to have boarders on this one, the bear could actually be popping out of the scene.

Alas I can't commit to anything, my life is too unpredictable right now because of my health. The monthly challenge is good for me because it allows me to skip several days if I have to... 😞

@Dulcie a second piece!! i think I will, but maybe not for 3rd Thursday. Took some pictures of a toy train at work, I think I'll use that as reference.
