@xin-li pastels are a beast! Try them though! Just be ready for a mess and some less than perfect pieces. Paper made especially for pastels will make a world of a difference, they have velvety ones that really hold onto the color

@TessaW sweet! Did you start over or just repaint? It looks fantastic!

@Coley Thank you! I painted over it. Looking back, it might have been more efficient to just restart from scratch though, because the original was pretty much on one layer. At one point they all had no faces.

Omg they look kinda scary with no faces haha. But when they have faces, they’re really, REALLY cute! Do you normally work in one layer?!

@Coley Did you forget that it's September already? You are still posting in August! Do you not want it to be over? No, I work in a lot of layers, but sometimes by the end I just end up with a few layers.

@Joanne-Roberts thanks Joanne! I do a lot of Bible pictures that are more aimed at younger kids, but this one is more gritty, it's my friend Daryl's idea, he likes to make things more intense, haha.

@jsnzart Thanks heaps, man! I appreciate that. You know, I am really happy with it, I think it's worth doing, however my only concern is that I suppose if I cancel my subscription then my portfolio will go with it, along with all the time I put into it. I dunno, I haven't properly looked into that, I just saw that my Adobe subscription came with a 'free' portfolio site and went YehBoyyy!

@MattBaker Yep, I agree with those concerns. I was pretty excited about it too.
But! Having many problems with my older Wacom Intuos 3, and the new Creative Cloud. From slowing down everything to now my Wacom won't work properly. Not a happy chappy!

Thank goodness for the iPad and Procreate.
And I might just go with Wordpress or keep using Artstation and others. Hmm!

@jsnzart Yeah honestly I've been too distracted/lazy/scared to create my very own website, but when I do I'll discontinue my Adobe one most likely. It's okay for now.
And don't get me started on Wacom. I forked out for a top of the line MobileStudio Pro when they first came out and it's been glitchy as hell. I'm hoping to have enough green to buy an iPad pro soon, maybe I need to sell more drugs.
