I’m trying my hand at a short comic.
The story is about a girl and her dog. Called “Ghost Girl”. She’s a ghost who travels around her town, visits some friends, and then the reader finds out she’s not really dead.
The dog is supposed to be a border collie. The girl, is happy and optimistic.

I think I’m happy with the colors, but this being the second time I’ve made a character, I’ll take anything you got. E155A355-A36C-4D20-AA0E-15B0FDC35292.jpeg

I think you did a good job making the characters look distinct, with the use of contrasting colors and all (black/grey and white for the dog; orange hair and blue shirt for the girl).

I don't know the exact style for your story, but I like how the gal character is so optimistic! (Sometimes, characters that are used in stories that deal with paranormal elements are portrayed as dark and brooding, and I like how you ditch that trope with your main character)

Specifically with the girl, I noticed that her hairstyle isn't the exact same throughout, there being meniscal differences here and there, and I think the fact that it still reads as the same character even with these minute differences shows that her character design holds up!

Nice designs and cute story! I hope you do well with it!

Thank you! I’m glad she reads as the same character. 🙂

@story-paint Both the girl and the dog are cute and vibrant and consistent - I agree it's nice to see you going in that bright direction for a story with an element of the paranormal. And it's definitely got me interested, like why does she think she is a ghost? Do others think she is a ghost? Etc. It sounds like a neat adventure.

@story-paint This is really cute! It sounds like this story will be a good one 🙂 I like the simplicity and cute factor of these designs. I think they will work really nicely for a comic 😃
