Inktober 2020 - Week 1
-
This is my daughter's first Inktober. She's 10 and has decided to take on the challenge for herself. Day 1: FISH
-
here’s my Inktober 1 illustration done old school with a paintbrush. I scanned it for the first time, as taking pictures never seemed to capture it well.
-
Day 1: Kreacher. This year I'm doing the whole thing with my brush pen on one 12x24" piece of 300 lb watercolor paper, so this guy's only 3.5" tall.
-
I am not inking so much but still following the prompts.
-
This is the first year I try Inktober. I don't have a motto or anything I want to focus on. For me it's basically about the challenge to make it until the end.
-
How exciting! Here's my first Inktober post. Looking forward to seeing what everyone has to share
-
Here's mine. It was done looking at an actual fish and using micron pens and watercolor.

This post is deleted! -
Here’s my day 1! I didn’t like what I posted early in the day, so I restarted and did something different!
-
@ArtofAleksey this is very very cool!
-
Hi all, trying to just have fun with Inktober with only my brush pen. I’m skipping pencil and diving right in!
-
Well I'm going to give this a first-time try. I hope to just do black and white and stick with the suggested list.
Thanks for the opportunity to post and to see others' posts.
Here's mine with ink pens on typewriter paper.

What a great idea to make a thread every week! Now we can see everyones lovely creations!
This year I'm creating cute monster characters that will fit into my developing children's book portfolio ️ I'm also posting an accompanying process video with each piece over on my IG https://www.instagram.com/melaniedaigleart/
I'm following the #monstermania2020 prompt list.
Day 1 - Frankenstein's Bride
I imagined the Frankensteins’ daughter trying on her mom’s old wedding dress and wig -
Day2 - Wisp (German Timezone so for some a bit early)
Presketched in a Hahnemühle Nostalgie A5 Book and Inked Today with a Raphael8404 Brush and Winsor&Newton Ink
-
I’ll be making cards this year. Each collection has four designs. This set is “Black bear christmas.” I wasn’t going to stay with the prompts, but I couldn’t help but try and find a way to use fish. So here we go. Yay! I think this card is going to be called “for you.”
-
Ok, here's my Fish from day 1
-
This is also my first time committing to Inktober..semi committing Likely will only do a few of them. I'm really lame with traditional ink, so went digital. Some might say, nope. Still lame. But giving it a go, mainly to support Inktober this crazy year.
-
Didn't know this topic existed!
I had this image of a Polar Bear ice fishing in my mind yesterday (taking plenty of artistic liberties, of course).I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, though my biggest issue is the placement of the bear's left eye; it makes hi head and/or face look lopsided.
I have a white ink pen, which definitely helped to fix some errors, but I didn't want to use it everywhere (plus, I didn't want to use on the ink on only one drawing!)This is my first year doing Inktober and I'm going to do my best to get all 31 days in!
-
Goals for this Inktober (2nd attempt doing the daily prompts) are to become more comfortable with inking using traditional methods, speed up my sketching skills, and learn to accept imperfection. “Just get it done already!”
DAY 1: FISH

Here’s mine probably should have spent more time prepping
