@Larue Thank you ☺️ they took me a little longer than I planned, so October was a little hectic!

Late to the party on this thread but here was my week two (all in one go). Loving everyone's work. I really enjoy seeing everyone's different takes on the same prompt. I'm really not a fan of my toad one, I did the tongue all wrong but... 'finished not perfect'.

Hiya all, sorry I've been off the forum for a couple of months but found this Inktober thread. I've was enjoying seeing everyone's prompts on Instagram but they seem to have completely dried up on my feed now (algorhythm?). Everyone's on here is so great, nice to be able to see them all in one place. I'll add mine but I don't want to spam with 7 images in one go so I've put them on one document. This is my first Inktober and I'm finding it tough! 😬 Trying to use one character to give myself some sort of consistency (not that I've managed it! 😂) Every image is riddled with errors, but as Jake says... Finished not perfect!

      Inktober is over and done!!

I must say, this was the best so far.
I went for the official prompt list.

Had lot of ideas for most of the prompts, and while some were narrowing down my concepts, others made me come up with pretty interesting concepts.
Also went the digital way, because that was the domain I wanted to get better at, since it s my main tool when working.
Speed was a big big thing that I wanted to improve.

Tried so many new stuff that otherwise someone d have to commission me to do them(ehem, comfort zone) and had real fun overall.

How did your inktober go?What will you do next??
Feel free to post your full collection here, compilation of all 31 days!
Also include your handles,so others can see you!

While going through Inktober memories, I thought that why not share something with you, though it's too late! It's really a very simple art from my Inktober collection, made with Bianyo Watercolor Marker set. 148664298_127266332609699_5026506258751481220_n-2.jpg

      DAY 20: Chef
We used to play this mario game where you had to flip and catch food until it was cooked. I was addicted XD

      DAY 21: Sleep
Classic Alice in Wonderland. Honestly never been a fan of the story (too nonsensical even for my 8 year old brain 😂) but it fit the brief 😝

      DAY 22: Rip
We used to play a game with my dad called “Westling in Manila” so I wanted to shoe horn muscles somewhere :)) I didn’t feel like drawing wrestling costumes though so I went with Popeyes. We used to watch this A LOT 😂

Congrats to everyone for finishing/ doing Inktober! I might continue this until 31 drawings. It would be a waste to quit after going 80% with it.

Will continue to post my progress, will definitely need help with the writing portion, so hope you guys don’t mind.

Thanks so much guys! Pointing out the more 3D elements vs flat was something I couldn’t pinpoint but was struggling with. And concept/story has been my biggest struggle. But it’s good to know the other elements I have been focusing on (composition, value and rendering) are working.

Watching everyone else’s critiques was helpful too.

I definitely hope to see more of this style of critique if y’all have the time for them 😄

honestly I am kind of bummed that the blogpost for this never got shared through any of the SVS social media channels. 😞
