@AustinShurtliff is that another word for subtitles? If it is then yes I'd give it an 8 because it would be useful for watching while travelling or when I'm listening to music.

I would find it useful, as it would let me watch videos easily and more flexibly while my kid is distance learning or doing other activities where it would be nicest to have the sound off and not be tethered to my computer via headphones. I say a 10.

For me personally, I'd put it at a 5 or 6. Once I return to commuting to work, closed captions would allow me to watch a lesson while on the train or bus without having to use headphones, but personally I like listening to the audio.

For people that are deaf/hard of hearing, I'd put it at a 11/10. SVS could reach new audiences that do not currently consider your classes or subscriptions because they are video-based and lack captions. If you caption in different languages this could also open the classes up to people who's english may not be very strong.

Agreed with most here. I personally find the instructors easy to understand, but for those with disabilities or even just whose first language isn't English, I could see it being very useful. In addition, having a transcript available as well to follow along would be amazing!

9! For watching without audio. Thanks for asking!

@skeletortoise My bad, didn't rank at first. Closed captioning for me is a 4. Transcript would be an 8.

For inclusivity, both for people who cannot hear and for those learning English, subtitles is an instant 10/10.

It would additionally be helpful for promotional purposes if you were to post short clips on social media since many people engage with the apps without sound.

I don't need it personally, but I agree that for anyone learning ESL and general inclusivity it's a great idea!

For those who need it fore sure. But I'd find it distracting (I can never read and watch at the same time, I'd get a queasy stomach and a headache). So if there was an option for it or an option to opt out on the lessons, that would be best.

I usually use subtitles to watch regular tv because I don't have the best hearing. Without them I miss A LOT and I'm constantly asking my family to fill in the blanks. Subtitles would be greatly appreciated!

As someone who has an auditory processing disorder, captions are extremely beneficial. A 100/10 for me. And for all those who are hard of hearing, deaf, or esl.

Very. I don't need them now, but as a non native speaker I did depend on them at first. Apart from that it's nice to be able to watch a video without sound in some circumstances. Also, it makes it easier when product names are written out (tools, software, etc), because sometimes the spelling isn't obvious if you're not familiar with the brand / product line.
I'd say 6/10 for me, 10/10 for some!
