Calling for the November ALL STARS!!!

Here we go! I'm calling this done. Not as much of a tutorial as my previous (Lisa) one - but there is a thread showing a glimpse into some of my creations.

This was a fun one. I only started it around the 20th of November so it was a pretty fast build! I was fortunate to have some things pre-fabricated so that I could focus on the characters and little details.

Was it just me who was completely stumped this time around? This was agonizing. The open-ended prompts are soooo tough. I completed a cute little illustration of a little girl having a tea party with all her stuffed animal friends, but it was too cliche' so I tried to think of something a little more creative than just being together. So tough. Good luck to everyone! I love the few I see so far!

@kimmypie I hear you, this one was hard. I think your tea party illustration would have worked great. I also think the one you went with is awesome and totally unexpected which is cool!! I went the opposite direction and after trying and failing to think of something not cliche, I just gave in! I cringe every time I look at mine now, it feels like a Kinkade painting haha

@kimmypie I had a tough time on the illustration part. It's like my brain decided to completely forget how to art properly. I'm hoping I pulled it off in the end. You did! This is cute. Nice concept.

@EliaMurrayArt you did a great job with your little creatures. The image is warm and inviting. There's evidence of a lot of work in it too. Also, Thomas Kinkade made a lot of money lol.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz thank you!!! Yes, I do a lot of editing "in post" - such as the wall paper, the fire, the lighting, the eyes. Anything to clean it up and make it more impactful. I wish I had a full studio set up where I could create the lighting in "real life" - I think that would give it more of a natural feel and less stiff. I'll post a picture of the "before edit" and "after edit" in my wip thread.
