Our SVS Virtual Studio JANUARY 2021!!!!!!
-
I finished my first master study. I have had this version of Mary Poppins with illustrations by Julia Sarda in my library for a long time. She is one of my favorites And, since I am scared, I started with a spot illustration. This one took me about 5 hours. It’s definitely not perfect, but I learned so much… especially about how to use my ipad! My goal is to draw everyday this year, and to fit in as many master studies as aI can. I’ll probably do another full page Julia Sarda and then move on to someone else.
Her’s is the top. Mine is the bottom. I did not drag her actual colors from a picture in procreate, but tried to match them as best as I could with the book open next to me. So hard! But so exciting! I’m glad I finished it. -
Doing some traditional work on clouds as studies. I haven't done traditional in so long. !

I'm getting a graphic novel pitch finished up and doing a lot of the svs classes. I'm trying to use what I'm learning to do art for a picture book project in 12x12 as well as monthly illustration prompts like #scbwidrawthis
-
@HeatherBouteneff looks so fun! Is the scbwi draw this still happening monthly? I can’t seem to find the prompts
-
@VeronicaMui I have had a lot of trouble finding the prompts too! I think it’s supposed to be monthly so I’ve been searching and people are starting to post with the prompt “illuminate” but the Scbwi website still has July 2020 prompt “night sounds”
-
I also did this today...

Hi @Gabby-Correia, fellow mustard lover here! Love your design! Sharing a two page spread I just completed for a book I’m working on titled, Mustard Thinks Twice. Ketchup is not playing nice!
-
Taking an Aaron Blaise Procreate course. Trying to get more refined. Still lots of practice needed. I was pleased with how it started out though.
-
@MissMushy looks good!
-
@chrisaakins Thanks! Love your zebra
-
I revamped my yeti design to suit my house haha. I think I’ll go with the first yeti. He feels more like “me”
This was such a challenge! But I’m glad I took a stab at it haha. I might try doing another point of view if time permits. I hope the next prompt has to do with interior.
-
Finally completed my "comic clip" (analog version, color pencil on paper):
In the future I may do a "digitally remastered version".
Ready for a next project!
-
@txels cute!
-
Gonna try and make myself a style guide
-
@Braden-Hallett Great idea! Way better than my opening the last PSD file and clicking through every layer's blending mode when I start a new project.
-
@ajillustrates I know, right! That's usually what I do, too!
-
Allright. Alllllmost. One more time! 563rd time's the charm, right?
-
@Pamela-Fraley she's one of my favourites too! I've been meaning to do master study of her for ages, you've inspired me to do one this weekend
-
