I couldn’t believe how much art I was able to make last month. I’ve already starting various projects, including some personal ones and my next book!

Continuing to work towards my goals of drawing every day and improving (hopefully) as I go along, working on testing out a new style to play with and have some fun, and lastly started up an Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/ambiiraeart/ shameless plug 😂 sense we are so fond of them here) for my art finally and slowly gaining some attention.

I’ve been trying to change my style to fit the children’s book market. They look similar but the approach was very different. I like them both but the second one was more fun to make 😋

@donnamakesart Which one is marketed towards children? The one that's more pink on the right?

I'm all caught up in the AMFIBUARY drawing challenge. On the side I try to explore different brushes and render techniques – so far strictly applied to tiny turtle doodles. :-]

@Michael-Angelo-Go 🤔 probably up to the art agents and publishers to decide haha. But I would assume they can both work since the people I’m aping are doing published works 🙂

So last month I tried this painting a different way and it didn’t work out. So attempt number two! Using Will Terry’s dry brushing lesson. Also, I can’t believe it, but even trying to be so careful, I still made a huge design mistake. In my sketch, there were two plants and then randomly as I transferred it to the big version I switched out plant number two for fruit. Fine except then it looked like she was pouring water into the fruit! So I changed the position of the water pitcher but it’s all a bit awkward now 😹. So... lessons. But I’m still going to work towards finishing it because I’m learning how to take time and push a piece all the way 😊.

@donnamakesart I like the first one because the colours help it stand out and the edges look more refined.

I'll soon resume work on illustrating a book that I had to put on hold for a few months. Lately, I've mostly done stuff to practice colors and thing like that more - and took to drawing robots/robot-like creatures.

I’ve slowly been putting together a book over the last year or so and have started streaming for accountability (and you feel like a magician when you creating something friends don’t know how to do, that’s definitely part of it). It’s an alphabet book about bugs eating breakfast. This is a too detailed sketch that I started having too much fun with.
