This is SO COOL! Definitly a worthy 50-piece challenge. I appreciate that at this stage much change wouldn't be possible anyway, and really, I couldn't think of much feedback looking at this.

The only thing I'd consider is perhaps pushing the values a bit moe to create some depth. It looks like the table with the cauldron is in front of the book case, but the values blend right in with the rest. Maybe these can be darkened with a multiply layer to give a sense of "foreground". I'd wonder the same about the character and the ladder. Perhaps some darkening or lightening there could make them stand out a bit more. You might be able to push the light thrown by the lamp right beside them and create a deeper shadow.

Awesome illustration... I love it! As per @Nathalie-Kranich's suggestion, it might be a good idea to use selective lighting to direct the viewers attention; push and pull some values and add depth to the composition. You could choose a few particularly interesting spots, and focus the lighting on those. I would assume the character would/should get the lion share of that attention. At the moment the whole scene is pretty evenly lit. The problem is that if everything is of interest, nothing is of interest.

Nonetheless, and at the risk of repeating myself... This is a really good illustration. The details are just wonderful. Must have been a LOT of work.

I hope the publisher likes stick figures!!

Wow! This is so nice! Good job with drawing 50 things and making it look so nice. I agree with others about pushing the values. Right now it feels like there is no focus point. Do you want the girl to be the focus? Then make the brightest light on her and darken other areas. Other than that, it is beautiful!

@HeatherBouteneff ❤ if I can make that happen I will post it for sure! that would be awesome! Lets see, maybe I will make it available as a puzzle on Redbubble, if I can't find a real puzzle maker to license it. : )
