Started this bed today for the character to sit on. Made from some cardboard packaging. Cut up pieces into rock shapes and glued them on, then mod podged it all. Then painted it. The character is too big for it, vut I'll either resculpt him in a sitting position on the bed, or make a new character sitting on the bed.

Have you ever done any whittling? I started doing in the past year. Really meditative stuff.

Decided to make a new character, it will be a gross little gremlin. Everything you see here was made today!

My hope is to be able to someday make a children's book with little scenes like this and my creepy fairytale characters. No discernible plot, just nice scenes.

@kylebeaudette these are awesome! Do you have access to a kiln or what kind of clay are you using?

@Meg-Clayburn it's polymer clay, you cook it at low temperatures (250 Fahrenheit) in your home oven.

@kylebeaudette you did that with polymer clay?! That's amazing! Polymer clay always cracks on me.

@Meg-Clayburn i use sculpey firm, and I use floral wire with plumbing epoxy on it for an armature. The strong armatures prevent any cracking.

All are these are amazing. I love the knight and the fox models. I think the fox model would be an interesting character to explore for the monthly challenge.

I just discovered an illustrator today, Chris Sickels, who works in 3D sculpture and I instantly thought of you. You've probably already heard of him but just in case I had to send you a link to his website.

@Tiffany-Thomas Ha, yes I know him. He's helped me along as I try to make stuff like this. I had made a little scene using some dollhouse furniture and it looked bad, he convinced me to make everything by hand. He's right, it just works better.
