@jakecrowe Ooh these are great! I hate drawing vehicles as I'm rubbish at it so I should take that course too!
-
@mandaleemade thanks a lot!!

Hi! Ive just printed loads of bookmarks with inktober drawings. These are my first inktober products ever and first prints in my shop too!
Each bookmark is printed on both sides and tells a little story.

@Kim-Hunter The FB group - Mustang Sport Horse Community just posted slo-mo video of a horse jumping. You can really see how the joints work. https://www.facebook.com/100010763712937/videos/pcb.857883694943745/1366860180349426

So... a little creative break here, kinda switched gears just for a minute
-
@jakecrowe This is really cool! My attempts at vehicles are... questionable at best. Iβve always thought cars were boring and have avoided that course, but this makes me want to do it!

Still posting simple garden art (slowly working towards a "draw 50 things" piece) while I work on a MG novel. These garden pics keep me studying and learning, but they're pretty simple pictures, so I have a lot of space to work on my writing while still posting to social media. I try to study the 'thing' for a few pictures, like bees or strawberries, and then turn them into a character for fun. Here is a sample:

Doing last months prompt right now
To everyone who asked, Iβm doing pretty well considering but I probably have to stay in the hospital a few more weeks. Just to land back on my feet. Thank you for your consideration
Lots of time to draw though! I think I forgot to have fun a little before
About the character: meant to be a preteen, doing a menial job at the railway, she has limited resources so she chose to travel in a job! I thought that was a nice little twist. Sheβs quite jolly and chirpy, maybe even a little bit on the naive side. And of course her hair never does what she wants haha
-
I finally finished this beast. It's pretty big and I didn't realize how much of a challenge it was going to be to paint fire with gouache, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

@K-Flagg it looks amazing!!!! I love all the unicorns in the wave, I totally didn't notice them at first! Really beautifully done.

Got to draw a picture for my drinking club
On-on!

@Tiffany-Thomas Thank you!

I got sidetracked playing with Nomad Sculpt on my iPad. I did this model of a bear cub in a tree which isnβt fabulous but it enables me to turn it around to see it at different angles which I canβt do in my head. I did two quick paintings from them to see how it would work for reference.
-
@demotlj That looks great! What do you think about Nomad Sculpt? Iβve never tried sculpting before, is it quite intuitive?
-
@SheerArt Hehe, she's so likeable
-
@zkkowalska I had never done digital sculpting so the language took a while to get my head around but Nomad is fun because you can at least create some simple sculpts of heads and things without having to understand too much. There are also more and more tutorials being made which helps when you want to start doing more. Basically, for the price, it's amazing what it can do.
-
@demotlj thanks! Iβm gonna try

I am starting to figure out my coloring process for the first book I'm illustrating this year. It's got a lot of "real" places depicted, but it's a fictional story, so I'm wrestling with the combination of reality and cartoonish fun
