SEPTEMBER CONTEST: Design a character for Inktober!
-
@Frogpunzel yep, gray is ok!
-
@LauraA the image doesn't have to be square, it just needs to be sized to fit in the template, if that makes any sense As for the background info, a sentence or two is great! Just enough to get a feel for the character
-
Hi all! Just to clarify, there WILL be a Critique Arena for the September prompt! (@Lee-White was confused)

@jdeebella Love this!
Thank you so much!

Took the time to flesh out a character I came up with a while back. I inked this traditionally in one shot so I wouldn't worry about overthinking the challenge. Had a lot of fun with this one!
-
@donnamakesart It looks so great Donna!
@aurelia so cute!!
-
@aurelia this is soooo cute haha. Definitely childrenβs book feelz

My character is called Albert. A silly funny guy who always get into strange situations!
-
@carlianne @donnamakesart Thank you

I keep putting this off until I run out of time but I actually got it finished this month! As always, I am excited to see what you guys come up with.

Here is my second Frost Pirate character sheet. This guy has a pet penguin who I love. I have to say, working out these illustrations has really been helping me flesh out the characters for writing the book. I think I may continue doing this for character in future novels!
-
My Third (and final) character sheet submission for this month's contest. Now that I have all of these characters ready to go, I can't wait for October 1st! -
Based on a little dog that I know.

Hello! This will be my first participation and I was wondering if it's ok if my characters are in black and white, but I used an old yellow paper as a background?(texture in digital) thank you
-
@Koaila-art Yes, that is a-ok!

All the artwork everyone is posting is super great!
It's been a hot minute since I posted anything. It felt I was just grinding at life for the better part of a year so it was time for a vacation So I took the last 2 months off and figured I'd jump back into the fray for Inktober.
Here's a character I got some inspiration for and after some concepts I ran with it (among other things I just kept making the hat bigger and bigger lol). She's a kind of interdimensional sprite that can draw and paint creatures or objects into reality. For a few thousand years old she's pretty naive, but a lot of fun to hang out with.

@LisaF Thank you That's great!

Hello! Omg so many cool works here
It will be my first participation to a contest, so I wanted to share it with you first.
I was inspired by folklore creatures/monsters around the World. My idea was to find a monster that scares people and make him cute and less scary. What if not all monsters eat humains? The work is made digitally but I will try sometimes to draw it traditionally during inktober. Wish you all good luck for the contest and also a strong mental health for inktoberNot sure yet how it works here, sharing my ig link text

Here's my take on the classic witch & kitty duo! (Great minds think alike, huh? @Lisa-Clark )
