End of the line…wip ^_^

@Melissa_Bailey @Kim-Rosenlof lol, ok I thought since it was still close to Halloween it might be a bit clearer. I know this is a very rough sketch though hahaha. It supposed be he’s been bitten by a werewolf
-
@Asyas_illos Good thinking! After reading @Kim-Rosenlof I was thinking something with a werewolf, but the bite wasn't clear to me in this sketch. But it would be when you work it out further. I think it is a great idea! Poor Kamari...
-
@Asyas_illos That's a fun idea! Looking forward to seeing how you develop it.
-
@Asyas_illos loving it. I think it will be really pretty with all the night colors. Can’t wait to see it. I’m going to be in the all star arena too. made myself say yes before I chickened out. But it’s good. I need challenges with deadlines in my life.
-
@Pamela-Fraley I think the hardest part for me is being being forced to slow down lol there’s an extra month, I don’t what I’m going to do with myself
-
@Asyas_illos I think I have the same problem because i signed my self up to do Novel writing November. I was also contemplating Folk Tale week on Instagram. Because, I have serious problems and want to do waaaaay too much.
-
Some different gestures and character design
-
Ok so I decided to go a different route, I wanted to do another fantasy inspired illo like my dream rabbit road race and went with a literal end of the road let me know what your thoughts are on composition and story ( though there’s not much to it)
-
@Asyas_illos I like the moon and stars and character flowering towards a big waterfall! It's interesting. The new beginning isn't clear to me however. Where does it all go? And what are they standing on? It doesn't seem star shaped and the moon is next to them.
-
@Chantal-Goetheer the whole thing is meant to be very abstract. I was thinking some sort of raft or iceberg, maybe a boat that they’re on it’s not fully designed yet. And the new beginning is supposed to unknown to the viewer, I plan on lighting it down there to signify there’s something there, but what that is, is up to the viewers.
-
Think im finally on to something here let me know what your thoughts are on story now
-
@Asyas_illos they seem to be both angels with those cute little wings. But then the end of the road is less clear to me. They could fly away? At first I didn't notice the wings on the dog and I figured he would be meeting an end of the road soon but he would have his Guardian Angel to watch his back whichever way it would turn out. Or maybe with them both having wings they are Guardian Angels waiting to be dropped to earth to help someone/a furry little friend.
-
@Chantal-Goetheer sort of lol, so the child is more of an angelic ferryman, and he is escorting this angelpup to his new beginning, being his soul is recycled. Ok it was maybe more complicated than I thought.
-
@Asyas_illos I'm still having a little trouble understanding your concept for this one. I love the dream like quality of it though! Is there something you could do to make it a little more clear that the angel ferryman is escorting the pup to a new beginning? Maybe giving him something? Like some token of his new life?
-
Man you guys are killing me with this one! Ok I guess I need to rethink a bit
-
@Asyas_illos If it's any consolation, I thought your warewolf concept was great. It also tied in with Kamari meaning moon, which I thought was a nice, subtle touch. Maybe go back to that one instead?
-
I agree with @Mia-Clarke. I thought the werewolf one was a good idea too, but it was hard for me to tell what was going on with the sketch you posted (not enough details). Once I understood what it was about, it made sense. Sorry, I should have said that sooner.
-
@Asyas_illos maybe you could try making the dog more ghost like as in glowing? The wings and halo of the kid is clearly saying angel to me. I could follow your explanation and I like it. Maybe what they travel in is his basket from home in which they buried him which may contain further clues to the story? I found the werewolf one very clever and clear. But this one is a bigger challenge. And why not do two?. Then you would have still slowed down. Last month you had a stunning three entries .
-
I appreciate all the feedback from everyone, that’s of course why we post right?
I will still work on the werewolf one as well as this one, hopefully I can make it work! -
Alright some of you might call this a cop out, but I used a sign. (Sighs) I know not always the way to go but I really love this one and I just could t figure out how to convey my story better, oh well. Also I’m thinking I want the child to be a cute child-friendly version of death, instead of angel. But that can be as easy as a wardrobe change if not.
Anyway that’s where I’m at now…
