End of the line…wip ^_^

Do you guys think the crashed bike adds anything to the story or composition?
-
@Asyas_illos I like the transition process on the boy, his expression, & the big moon in the back.
The werewolf could look more menacing. It looks skinny.
I agree that it's fun / amusing that the dog seems happy about the change.
-
This is where I ended up with this one, think I’m going to call it.
-
Working on some more Kamari sketches. I’ve been wanting to do one witth a cat because of the 9 lives thing, but went with a clearer new beginning (meaning life with a fisherman).
I struggle with interesting povs and perspective and almost always revert to straight on shots but for this one I couldn’t come up with an angle that showed everything I needed to tell this story.
Here’s a sketch and some beginning color.

@Asyas_illos Gorgeous!
How about put the boat on a (more) lover level? It might spice up your composition
But i love it already! Your shapes and colours are top notch! -
@Asyas_illos really like this idea, and I think the side on composition works in this case. The theme reads really well.
-
@mag thanks! I’ll see if I can work something like that out
-
@MarcRobinson thank you I’m glad the story is clear.
-
Hi Asya, i think Mag has a good point about moving the boat a little more down right. For the side view, maybe few hints of perspective and some light/shadow shifts would put the scene more in an environment and make it feel more dynamic? Could a view from up also work for the story?
-
@marek-halko thanks for the redraw it totally helps me visualize! I don’t know about a top view but moving the boat is more feasible.
-
@marek-halko also how does your pile of fish look so much better than mine?! lol!
-
@Asyas_illos well, i just love drawing fish.
-
-
@Asyas_illos The cat & dog chase scene—turned escape to sea—is a good concept. I like that the dogs look friendly (they are so cute!) and just want to play, so it wouldn't really be the end for kitty Kamari—except maybe the end of the cat's dignity if the dogs covered Kamari in dog slobber!
I think the straight-on side view works well with your style.
I also like the way @marek-halko drew the water. It adds more movement and excitement to the piece. I also like the bouy in the water & the way the ship is sitting low in the water with the big haul of fish in the drawover. And I agree, nice job on the pile of fish.
-
@Asyas_illos with this one, I would like to see that the cat is going to land in the boat... so maybe have him more mid air?
-
@Asyas_illos I liked the leg of the fisherman seeing as if he's really hauling something in one of the first sketches. The point of view with the quay side more up and boat more down is really nice and dynamic especially when the cat is already jumping more petrified into the void because she maybe doesn't see the boat with the fish yet. Great idea yet again!
-
@Chantal-Goetheer thanks! ️
-
@AngelinaKizz thank you I did end moving the cat maybe it looks a little more believable now?
Here’s the progress from the past two days took some of you fine peoples advice into account and rearranged this a tad. I’m still working on the fishing part of it, positioning of the line, fish, and fish pile etc.

@Asyas_illos it looks great!
