SVS Virtual Studio FEBRUARY 2023
-
Going for humor.
-
Wow! It’s only four days into February and this thread is smoking.
I continue to work on my watercolor illustrated journal and I did this of my dog chasing shadows of birds across the snow. He leaves the actual birds alone but if he sees a shadow, he pounces on the shadow! (He can entertain himself for hours doing this.)

Hey guys! Happy February! I just finished this piece yesterday after watching some of Rebecca Green's Patreon.
I'm not really in love with the colors, so I think I'm going to do something crazy and paint it again with a different technique.
-
Here's a piece I did for work! We're doing a Valentine's Day merch collection and this is one of my favorite illustrations from it. I've redacted any graphic assets that pertain to my clients
Here's another favorite from a recent hiking inspired collection
and finally, a sketch for one of last years SVS design prompts that I never got around to finishing

@demotlj That's awesome!!
-
@Asyas_illos I think you'd be so good at patterns!
-
@GabeRobinson Thanks! It’s always fun to draw something you love … and I love watching my dog be silly.
-
@Kristen-Lango this is different for you, for sure! But I really like the muddy, moody colors!
-
@Melissa_Bailey jealous of this amazingly rendered watercolor look. Gorgeous piece
-
Spread piece that I think I’m finally done with
-
@Griffin-McPherson aww, thanks so much! And here's me being jealous of people who can be super loose with watercolor!
-
i'm finally working on a story and developing this character, actually based on myself...
i would like to do a zine or something, just to get comfortable with me writing something and make the illustrations for it...(told myself i'm no writer at all, but i remeber i had a lot of fun writing when i was younger, i just forgot about it)
Also today i got the news (since i'm going to school again to be a kindergarten teacher) that i got into the workshop how to develope, tell and write stories for children! I didnt expect that they would make such a fitting Workshop... its like the universe is telling me i got everything on place and am on track!

@Jeremy-Ross looks great Jeremy!
-
Thank you @AngelinaKizz!
-
Looking great @von_Nimmermehr!
-
Not perfect... but FINISHED
Inspired by a fun family jumping photo of my 10-year old twins and me, I created this action-packed scene. In this moment, I envisioned three heroes pursuing a crime lord who is very frustrated that his henchmen can't stop the trio.
Really happy with this creative journey so far!
-
@Jeremy-Ross haha love this!
-
@Kristen-Lango awesome! Every time I've been brave enough to completely re-paint something again I've ended up being happier with the result. Sort of like I had to get the "bad" version out of me before I could do the best version. LOL!
-
@von_Nimmermehr @von_Nimmermehr What a fun character! And that’s such great news! Congratulations! I'm in the same boat with writing, I used to do it a lot when I was younger, but got out of the habit with busy adult life. I've recently started writing PB manuscripts though, and have been surprised at how just it comes back. You might find the same.

@Mewie That’s an awesome reference shot! Make sure to save it for future reference.
