SVS Inktober Thread

I love what everyone has posted here so far! Here is my day 1 submission, I think I should have taken my time on the boat bit, it seems to draw the eye more than I anticipated. This was based off a character I had in mind a month or two ago, who inherited some bracers that allow him to take down monsters. Could today be the exception?!

@Ben-Rudnicki142 I love it! I did my shark today, but I think I might stick to underwater things all month.
Your octopus looks amazing!

@Rob-Smith Ball Point is one of my favorite mediums. I may throw down a few myself.

Thank you @Ace-Connell . I'm hoping to work on some things that I've had floating in my head for a while, I wish I could come up with some cohesive story like Jake seems to do every year.

After watching Jake's Inking tutorial, I decided to participate in Inktober. Aside from using pencil and paper when I was a kid, I haven't really used traditional mediums. I thought that this would be the perfect excuse to do something non-digital. It's awesome to see so many other artists participating and I'm loving the sense of comradery (spelling?) in the art/illustration community

Too damn excited for Inktober! Love all the art that is filling all my feeds!
I'm going to post here when I can but I'll be using my Instagram and FB page for daily updates.
My topic this year is environments and landscapes. Above mini painting is based on a 1860 silver print of a French chateau. oh la la -
