SVS does Inktober 2018

@jaepereira they came up as Poisonous on Pinterest, generally speaking I think the most colourful are.
I doubled checked all the photos say blue frog but I pretty sure the bottom blue/teal one is a dart frog (saw it in a midsummer murders episode yesterday as a dart frog).

Inktober 2018 Animals Day 4 Spell #inktober #inktober2018

@burvantill I've been sketching in pencil before I ink for the inktober pieces. For me it's more important that I get it done, and although I think going directly in ink is a tremendously useful exercise, I like the pieces I sketch out in pencil better, and I'm trying to use that extra sense of confidence to help me keep going. It's so easy to get derailed with this kind of thing!

Day 4 Spell. With a shameless plug for inktober. Points for creativity?

A bit late ( here in the Netherlands) but I made it with two hours to spare. The rest of Wilbur’s adventures. Day 4, the spell. Hope you enjoy it!

Day 4 - Spell - Got to go to sleep now

ARGH Inktober is already a bust for me! So sad! I did the whole thing last year and here it is Day 4 and I am already 2 days behind. Maybe I'll do some and catch up...but I've got so much on the art plate right now. You all are rocking it! These look great!

Day 5 - Chicken!

Hi all!
Just a short question concerning your process -
How do YOU get your drawings done?
For my part, the best results (for me personally) came out when coming up with the idea and doing the sketching in the morning and the inking in the evening. I find it hard to come up with an idea late in the day.
How abou YOU?Best,
Chris -
Day 5 outdoor sketching...I absolutely love sketching people on the beach or at swimming pools. It´s like a free model session....with lots of children as a bonus.
-
@aska This made me smile. I really like the tree texture too, very cool!
-
Day 5 : so true story- when I was a kid I asked my mom for a chicken for my birthday and let’s just say I was a wee bit disappointed But who gives a 7 year old an entire roast chicken? My mom that’s who!

Here's my latest Inktober illustration. Done mainly with inktense blocks and pen. The red is watercolour... I just really wanted that colour! Like most illustrations, this didn't come out the way I had it invisioned in my mind, I'll have to try again...

@miss-beans thank you! thats probably the nicest tree i have ever drawn

@crud42 I started some thumbnails during September but didn’t complete for all the prompts and as it turns out my ideas evolved anyway as I start the actual rough sketch. Normally, for analog ones, I sketch in colorerase pencil night before then ink the day of. I will be doing some digital ones too though cos I still need to practise to get better at that.
No doubt I will have to change things up soon cos my October is going to get busier.
