Feb Love WIP - wow I've been gone for a while

Hi! I haven't posted in quite a long time. I recently had an agent tell me that I NEED more defined backgrounds in my portfolio, so, here's me trying to make that happen. I've been using a pastel brush for a long time and I love it but it fuzzes everything out. I'm trying to get some harder edges in there. First is where I'm at now, second is an older and fuzzier version and last is the sketch. I'd love to hear any crits!

@Lydia-M Wow, I love this composition! I see a big difference between the middle composition and where you are at now. I think the edges are defined enough in your most recent, but it would be interesting to see what it would look like if you pushed it even further by sharpening some of the details. The loose edges are charming, but if you have had an agent specifically talk to you about more definition in your background, it may be a good idea to really push it. It’s better to go too far than not far enough in this case.

I can see the difference in both. I know you are still working on it, but i would make the wings stand out some more. They sorta get lost up in the sky. Its a really cute town concept you have.
