Wow this will be a grand challenge indeed. I thought of doing the Secret Garden but I haven’t read it recently but I just finished up Alice in Wonderland so I will aim for that.

Awesome!! I literally started working on a book cover yesterday. And I was thinking, maybe this will fit for the SVS prompt somehow.

Do people know Terry Pratchette stories? I want to do “The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents” but I worry that not enough people know who Terry Pratchette was.

I'd like to do a cover for The Giver, by Lois Lowry, a middle grade book. Is everyone familiar with that story? Just want to be sure since I had a surprising/bad experience at a recent conference where both an art director and a picture book author/illustrator didn't seem to recognize the story.

As long as the book exists, I would just reference the book and maybe a link to the synopsis. I for one can not read, I have a hard time with it. I am a visual person and brief graphic novels over books. So this is going to be a hard one for me. I think the last book a read was in high school. I guess I should just do that one. I think it was Lord of the Flies.
