Hey guys! Love seeing all of the amazing submissions so far, can't wait to see the rest at the end of the month! Mine is a take on what Mer-Pirates might look like and inspired a book idea that I'm in the very beginning stages of developing. So here's one of the illustrations, can't wait to hear your thoughts!
-
@StudioLooong Haha I love this so much!! Such a cute concept and so many fun details
-
Not all mermaids can be royalty.
-
Alone
A tale of a lonely sea monster.
I have added the poem Alone, by E.A. Poe to the spread, to add to my website, but I didn't want to clog up this thread so here is the link if you want to see that.
-

Hi guys, such nice pieces all here!! Love so many of them!
Here is my little mermaid, having a picnic, chilling, with her crab admirer (is that how you write it).

'Love at First Sight'.
-
My entry. I call it "The perils of being a mermaid"
-
@Maureen I´ve got a similar idea!, It´s just so sad when the first thing that pops in our heads when we think about ocean is plastic...
-
This mermaid has a lot of work ahead saving oceans...
-
@Pilonya It is sad. Who would have thought that 50 years ago? So many emotions about the problem, from the sympathy your mermaid shows to the turtle to the anger my mermaid feels.
