@Buddy-Skelton Wow! Exquisite brushwork!
-
@Coreyartus These are all so well-envisioned and atmospheric! I love the idea of the carnivorous poppies haha :^)
-
@burvantill oooh, I love this! Gave me instant chills. Great idea and well rendered.

doing this really my style, but still a lot of work before me
-
@karolifo this looks like fun - almost like a game! And so appropriate for where I live. 80's yesterday, 46 this morning.
-
@MichaelaH This is shaping up really nicely. It's going to look wonderful when finished! Looking forward to seeing it. I enjoy seeing all of their facial expressions, and the rabbit pointing with the carrot is really neat, haha.
-
@Kat Thanks! It is based on a game
Iβm planning on making it into a game too
-
Hello everyone. Something different from me, a girl racing her beautiful horse. -
@Judy-Elizabeth-Wilson Nice, the horse looks little bit like paper cut horse, very nice.
-
@Coreyartus Tier 4! Wow...
These are great images-and how great that you have the summer for focus on this.I really love color--but I think the black and white (with blue)-is super powerful.
-
@chrisaakins I like this a lot! Is it an anniversary homage? And do the pages of text have specific meaning to the couple?
-
@burvantill While technically June--I usually wrap up my previous month with a "top 3"--my favorite, best images I drew in the past month, and then I post this as the co ver to that month's journal.

-
@Susan-Marks it was a wedding gift. The pages were random but I used the titles to accent the beauty of marriage.
-
@jwing Thanks so much! I'm having fun in that "alternate universe" Oz!
-
I started taking a class in traditional Korean ink painting last month. I thought it would be a cool expansion of my artistic tool set. Itβs turned into a bit of an obsession. So hereβs the studio wall with practice exercises and a couple experiments. This month, Iβll be working to bring more of the ink painting into my illustration work and a bit more of my illustration style to the ink painting to see if I can find a new middle ground. Fun stuff!
-
I really struggle with remaining consistent in my cartoon shorthand for specific characters so I used my son as a model and played around with his facial expressions, exaggerating slightly but also trying to keep the same template to get used to the idea.
-
I'm working on this at the moment. I decided I do too many dark paintings so I am trying to paint on white
-
Practicing sketching from real life to strengthen my understanding of volumes, depth, light and shadow and building a stronger visual library that I can reference later on in my drawings.
-
I just finished these portraits for the SCBWI Orlando conference (SHHh - the participants won't see them until this Friday!)
