@TessaW very nice. Which class is this?
-
@burvantill Thanks!
@xin-li Thank you. It's for a class at schoolism. Painting with Light and Color by Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo. Lots and lots of still life paintings for this course. It's been fun but intense in the sheer amount of studies involved.
-
@burvantill I felt the same way after doing that class! Total breakthrough!
-
I'm picking away at the children's illustration course part 1 and some of the homework was creating dramatic gestures in your characters. I started doing a santa a day, they've gotten so much better! I have them numbered in order, started top right and looping counter clockwise. This practice stuff really works
I might use some of these in inktober as my inktober sketches were getting too complicated!
-
today I worked on facial expressions and another new santa, inking practice and decided to color one of my other santas in photoshop for photoshop practice. a bit of fun again lol. They make me smile
-
Hammered out an entry for the SCBWI contest. The prompt word was 'trouble'
-
The good news was that they worked...
-
I made a happy little dragon
-
@kylebeaudette I love it!
-
@kylebeaudette how long does he meditate for?
-
Almost 2 weeks without drawing...yesterday I could draw again.
Some simply characters I did for the game my son is coding/programing.

-
@MichaelaH Nice!

@Braden-Hallett omg sooooo cute! Reminds me of my little guy drawing in permanent black marker on the wall when he was 2! I asked him if he was drawing on the wall and he said "noooooooooooo!" and held the marker behind his back ha ha hha!!!!! I left the marker there lol. It's partially hidden by a desk but I'm more of a softie so can't paint over it lol. , memories!

This is pretty much what I'm currently working on. I usually jump on each one when I get burned out.
The first one are some thumbnails Illustrations for a book called The Wind-up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami, now I recommend his other book "A Wild Sheep Chase" more if you want to get a feel for the author.
Second one its a portrait of Luna Lovegood just cause I love that character so much. I probably will just fix some edges and call it. I feel like I spent too much over rendering some parts.
The third Doggo painting is my doggo named Yoshi that passed away two months ago, he was an old doggo went strong for 18 years. He was going to be a lawyer just out of high school. I miss him so much so its a very emotional piece.
The fourth one is some creature design for a chicken made out of flower or a flower made out of a chicken. I made up this game to help me design character as a practice, where I just write a noun put it in a hat, and grab two pieces of paper without looking. I got Chicken Flower, as you would have guessed.
The last one is a very accurate self-portrait for my Biz cards.
