        Here is my submission. Penny doesn't show much emotion so a smirk is quite the smile.

            Wow, these are great! Thanks everyone who submitted! We're still trying to nail down a date for the next Critique Arena, but looks like it'll be sometime during the week of Nov 11-15...we'll keep you posted!

                Greetings Everyone!

                I know I'm a little late but I have been busy illustrating a book I can't wait to share with everyone.

                Because I love a challenge, for this contest, I wanted to visually tell the story just with the cast shadows and a few clues. I hope you love it as much as I loved solving this puzzle!

                Congrats to everyone on your original creative approaches and keep up the good work!

                Stay well and creative.

                  @CatOnPaper very neat to use the shadows for storytelling.

                        Thanks a lot @Heather-Boyd! I should have concentrated on the current book as well as finding my next client but I really wanted to have a chance to stay connected to this channel! 🙂

                            @Sarah-Hyman make a post, inside it you’ll have many icon options, click the white arrow inside the black cloud. And then let it load up, if your screen is horizontal you will be able to see the upload at least on my iPad that’s how it is not on the vertical. And tah dah! Post. Ensuring it’s not too big.

                              @Heather-Boyd Thank you! I feel like such an idiot, I was trying to upload it on my phone 🙄

                                @Sarah-Hyman Don’t feel bad. 🙂 You have to scroll the bar of icons to the left on most phones in order to find the upload button, and many people don’t see that the bar scrolls. It’s not very intuitive, so don’t worry at all!

                                    @TessaW, Thank you!

                                    Yes, I thought someone else would have the same idea, too. When I came to see what everyone else had done, and didn't see it (there are some similar ones, though)—I decided to go ahead with it, and try out a wash using ink pencils.

                                    It's always great to see all the different styles and concepts produced for the same prompt.

                                          @burvantill Yeah, great job to @Braden-Hallett and @Neha-Rawat !

                                          If I may, a critique of the critiquers (that’s not a word). The entries looked pixelated a little. Seeing them here to post congrats I saw a few and they looked better here. Perhaps it’s Zoom. Perhaps it’s due to something else. Just letting y’all know.
