April WIP brings May.... Robots?
-
Omg her hair is so fun. I'm sorry for spamming your post LoL. She looks like your drawing of her!
-
@Coley please continue haha it reassures me you still want to see these and I'm not just being a nuisance haha
-
@EliaMurrayArt Lol. I need happy stuff in my life right now and really look forward to your updates
-
@EliaMurrayArt i love watching this come together. Looks amazing and fun to do!
-
@Chip-Valecek thank you!
so glad

Exciting stuff! We had Olives with dinner last night and I just loved the red of the can and that if I messed with the label then I could get Lisa's name on her robot
so after some sanding and smashing (very violent stuff today) I've got the start to the robot body.
To the left is the start of his poor little dented head. π₯°
-
@EliaMurrayArt now thatβs pretty creative! The smashed look is working, love his head too !

-
@Coley thank you! It will get even more smashed I think. And be added too and painted. Mostly trying to not cut my fingers up
-
Today was "Bring your wife to work so she can rummage through the scraps" day.
I'm quite fortunate to have a husband who works in a metal fabrication facility. I was able to gather springs, bolts, nuts, metal chunks, and even some giant cogs and such.
very excited. I'll share some photos of my finds soon.
Working on building Lisa's little work shop today and tomorrow. Hoping to tie this whole thing together as quick as possible.
-
I haven't been on the forum for awhile and just discovered this thread. Your photo of Lisa made me laugh out loud. What great work! I can't wait to see what comes next.
-
@demotlj aw thank you!! π₯°π₯°π₯°
-
A few of the things I've rummaged from the machine shop. Excited to get going with it!
-
Moving along moving along!!! Painted her little face. I'll finish her eyes when I have the whole scene set. That way I can really make sure she is looking at what I want her to be looking at.
This is her "finished look" right before I go in and.... destroy her
So to make the illustration work, I know that I have to essentially mess my puppet up. With charcoal, and scissors. I will be attacking my adorable little puppet.
The after photos to follow very soon!
-
Here she is!!! And I loooovvveeeeee her!!! It was painful at first but once I saw her turning into the little unsuccessful inventor I was excited to "mess her up."
Super excited to finish this! I'm hoping the rest of this goes by a little faster and I finish in time
-
@gavpartridge thank you thank you!
-
@EliaMurrayArt wow, this is amazing! I canβt wait to see the robot!
-
So crazy awesome. Her face. I can't get over how awesome. I know I've been excited about this thread but it's exceeded even my excited expectations! I love your little Lisa!
-
@neschof oof me too. I'm so nervous about the robot
-
@Coley thank you!! I am so happy with how she has turned out
-
@EliaMurrayArt holy moly this is incredible. Never heard of needle felting (or pretty much any of the other techniques youβre using), but getting to see your process - it looks so fun! Especially love that shot of you dumpster diving for your girl and her robot
