I am trying new things this year that are way uncomfortable for me, like entering the monthly challenge, trying to keep a tight art schedule and now making art that I am proud to putting on my wall. My wife has been asking me for a long time to make something we can hang on our wall. My usual response is I cringe and change the subject. I am trying to change that attitude. So I went through some photos of my family and decided to draw a family portrait. So far I have had a lot of fun doing this.
Before I go ahead and ink this can i please get a critique. Is there anything I need to change.

      Thank you for your time

@robbery I love your goal to do new things that challenge you! And portraits can be super challenging!

Overall I think this is so great! I love that everyone looks genuinely happy and it’s drawn really nicely.

The one thing I would point out is the head of the baby seems too big. I was actually going to ask if you took it from a photo because a photo as reference can often cause an effect where stuff in the foreground becomes unusually enlarged. And babies do have large heads... just not normally larger than their parents heads 😊

That was the only thing that stood out to me! I’m sure your wife will be so excited

@carlianne Yes, it was from a photo reference. Thanks for the critique.
