I’ve started “Speed Line and Wash Sketching.” I set my timer and drive in a random direction until the timer goes off. I look for something in the area to paint, set my timer again for 15 minutes or 30 minutes depending on how long I have, and I make a painting. I’m trying to loosen up both in my ink and my watercolor and this is helping.

By the way, @burvantill, thanks for this thread. It's nice to have a place to share the stuff we are doing that may not be Instagram-worthy

Hi Everyone! I've been dipping my toe into some fan art this month for the first time (haha, thanks a lot @Jeremiahbrown, the can of worms is totally open now!). Turns out it's pretty fun!!! I'm enrolled in a business and illustrated merchandise course this month so it's quite a lot of writing and less drawing this month for me. I've tried to print some illustrations and put them in frames to see what they would look like. They are cheap frames and a rubbish home printer and office paper but it was just to get an idea of sizes (these are 8" x 10").
