Does this look like a kids style?

Maybe not for baby children books, but for middle aged kids books
Does this seem like a fitting style?
I've only drawn cartoony anime styles for the past decade. So changing it up to this and painting was pretty hard.

The shortness of the skirt and the way the legs are drawn is a bit too provocative for children's books illustrations I think. otherwise I could certainly see this working as a children's books style. Hope that helps!

You also might want to reconsider your angles with clothing like that. Right now it's looking like we can kind of look up her skirt. Children's book can have many different styles, but the content, posing, proportioning and even clothing are things that should be carefully considered.
I do love the whimsical lose line quality!

I like the sketchy style of the lines and the bright colors, but i agree with @Griffin & @lpetiti that the clothing and perspective could be considered a little revealing. If you were to tweak the skirt a bit , though, i could totally see this for middle grade. Actually on second glance, If you make those thigh highs into full tights, it would probably read as less provocative. I'm thinking about the cartoon, Star vs the Forces of Evil. Her skirt is short, she has full tights and her legs are more twiggy. Most little girls this size don't have thigh fat, yet.

@Frost-Drive yup!

@Frost-Drive as others have said, this could totally work for middle grade / graphic novel ... with some clothing adjustments. In fact, I took a look at your IG profile and a lot of that style could translate over to middle grade / graphic novel illustration as well.
Have you read or studied the illustrations of recently published books in your preferred genre? Those are a great barometer of what styles are getting published (hint: lots of different styles) and how these illustrators draw characters, backgrounds, clothing to fit the story and genre.
If you'd like some recommendations, here are a few that I've read recently that you might be interested in checking out:

@Melissa-Bailey-0 Wow those are really cool books! Especially One Trick pony. I gotta see if my library has any of these next time I'm there.
And I agree with everyone about the angle. I'd consider it innocent, but better to be extra conservative I guess. And not end up being the guy that drew a little girl 'riding' on a turtle like Will Terry. xD (he mentioned that in some podcast episode)

@Frost-Drive these should all be available at your library -- I checked them all out digitally with Overdrive.
