Hey all I’ve got a couple storm ideas brewing in my noggin. Nice break from my book I’ve been working on. Here’s the first

@Patricia-Dishmon pretty simple story just elder explorer lady searching for some Egyptian ruins and is almost there when a sandstorm comes through☺️

@Asyas_illos Does 'Storm' have to just have one character for the contest? Sandstorm is a good take on the prompt. I am thinking storm at sea for mine.

@Asyas_illos Yes-that's the harder stuff! Storytelling and Concept.

@PenAndrew I should add though for a dynamic illustration you generally want two to three characters

@Asyas_illos Yes I agree and I must learn how to make characters interact. I guess as I work thorough level two of the foundations I will get a better idea.

@Asyas_illos Can I suggest having her already at a dig site or something and then the sandstorm blows through? I think it'll be clearer that she's there for the ruins if she's already at the ruins. And it'll make it clearer that the storm is inconvenient. Know what I'm saying? Otherwise, she's just kinda walking around in the desert.

@Asyas_illos The sandstorm idea is so good! And your style as always super charming.
About adidng the storm, just as an idea, maybe let the camel props be blown, too, the reigns, the saddle cloth ect.

@Holumpa thanks for the feedback! I thought about that, but a lot of the bottom part of the camel I think is going to be obstructed by the storm, which is why didn’t do much in terms of his legs, but I could play with maps more and maybe whisps of camel hair. Thanks again

Its a crazy feeling to almost completely cover up a picture you just finished, what are your thoughts? Is it too much, did I lose out most of my details?

I’m thinking of adding a bird of some sort to the upper left corner, a falcon or ibis?
