Finally got my arm back and am finishing the June prompt!
-
If anyone watched the HTFYA live stream for the June prompt, I had submitted a rough for a storytelling-only critique because I broke my elbow, and the guys were kind enough to give me one (good natured ribbing aside!).
Some people said in the chat that they wanted to know how it turned out. So, after a month in a cast and a whole lot of physical therapy (plus a short vacation), I am fully back at work and have almost finished the piece.
I'd love a critique! Thanks!

For reference, here's the rough from June. The guys wanted to see more evidence of the transition and a more creative food truck. The other major changes were more about reading the composition and focus.

@LauraA wow amazing!
-
@LauraA Well done, bravo!!
-
@LauraA Yay!!! I love the finished render. It looks fantastic!

Love it@LauraA
-
It turned out sensationally!
-
@LauraA This turned out really great! It's awesome that your elbow is back in good shape again.
-
Thanks, guys! I wasn't fishing for compliments, I promise! I think I am used to demanding critiques.
-
@LauraA
It's just that good - it's easy to compliment.
My only critique would be that the pink popsicle blends into the background a bit, so adjusting that could improve readability. I've loved seeing the evolution of your art over the years. It's so good!
-
@KathrynAdebayo You're right about the popsicle--good point! But thank you for your kind words!
-
The finished illustration is beautiful!!! I love it!

@LauraA great work! I'm really happy you finished this illustration. I think it is really clear now that the ice cream is transforming the kids.
