Where Are You From?
-
Oh wow! Howdy neighbor! I’m near Willow Glen. I’d totes be down for coffee once this whole COVID thing clears up.
-
@korilynneillo unfortunately we aren't in CA anymore. Just our 30 year old son. He lives in Campbell. I'm old :-). We are presently heading west in our fifth wheel and are in Minnesota. I hope the air is clearing up for you!
-
@Sara-Nilsson Du är så snälla. Jag vet inte vad är en Swedish Fika. Jag måste titter på google :-).
-
I’m from Northern Ireland too! @eriberart ..but I’ve lived most of my life in Australia. I’ve been based in Melbourne for the past 8 years
-
I'm from Sacramento, CA. Unfortunately, my health makes it difficult for me to get out (even without concerns about the virus), so I'm not up for any meet-ups, but it is fun to hear where everyone is from.
@burvantill, I've actually heard of Ione, CA before (although, I admit the reminder that it's near Folsom helped). One of my old coworkers lived there, back when I was working in Rancho Cordova (about 6 years ago).
-
@kaitlinmakes, I've been to the Folsom zoo a couple times (several years ago). Aren't most (if not all) of the animals there rescued animals that can't live in the wild?
-
@MOO, Unfortunately, not yet. The fires have been bad in CA. (I'm in Sacramento.) Looking out the window earlier today--everything had a sepia tint.
-
@nasvikdraws Hahahahaha “other SVS rabbits” I think I accidentally dropped a pin in the middle of a parking lot but at least it’s in the right city (Toronto, Canada).
Would be cool to meet you all in person some day. Maybe post-covid we can all get together and.... form the world’s largest artists alley!
-
@Miriam oh! I totally sympathise. I was in Australia during the giant bush fires in December - January. It is aweful. Stay strong and keep safe!
-
Ipswich, UK.
-
I'm currently in Brooklyn, New York, but originally from Boulder, CO.
@TessaW, @Davidingalls and @Suzanne-Davis - My wife is from Nampa, ID and we lived in Boise before we moved to Brooklyn, so I know it well.
@Coreyartus - I lived in San Diego (in Bay Park) for 4 years and miss it almost every day.
-
@Miriam I am praying for California. My son is in Campbell and sister in Carmel and ofcourse all my friends in the Bay Area. All posting the pictures of orange skies. I really hope it rains.
-
@Miriam yep. Tiny little town in between folsom and Jackson. I’m sorry to hear that you are ill. We would love to have more art blood in our art days! Kaitlin started a group on Facebook for local artists. I’ll send a link to you... tomorrow. I’m swamped today and will probably forget.
-
Little town in Skagit Valley, Washington State. About an hours drive north of Seattle.
-
@Lovsey ah awesome! I don’t see many other Illustrators from here where about are you from?
-
Updating my post from July 2019 : I just moved to Paris, France and I am looking for art mates! Plenty of great museums to visit here (with a mask! ). Sketchers are usually very welcome in French museums (as long as you use charcoal or equivalent)
-
I have a small farm in southern Wisconsin, USA. I'm straight south fro Madison a few miles north of the Illinois border.
-
@eriberart I know, it’s always a nice feeling to randomly come across someone from our tiny country! I usually have to explain that I come from a town about an hour north of Belfast, but I can probably say Ballymena and you’ll know what I’m talking about

@Julia Lucky you! I look forward to being able to travel again so I can return to Paris.. I haven’t visited the Louvre yet, but it’s on the To Do list: basking in art and sketching for days sounds positively dreamy right now

@Gary-Wilkinson Didn't know you were in Japan. And I think we're pretty close. I'm in Tama City.
