WIP book cover for Tom Sawyer

Hello everyone!
So... I really wanted to do the Pippi Longstocking book, but there’s already one in the March prompt thread,and it’s done amazingly well, so I was thinking what other book do I love...
and come up with the adventures of Tom Sawyer.
This is what I have so far,I’ll be working on some more thumbnails, but I kinda like the big one.
As always, it would be great to hear your feedback!

I always think of the raft when I think of Tom Sawyer
But I love the bigger one you have done here. I like the way you did the font, having it scooping around him above and on his sides, it also puts him slightly off center and looks good. He;s also very cute! And the framing around the outside is nice too!! -
I like the big one, his eyes looking at the font is great idea, love the details in the frame. I would do the "the" and "by Mark Twain " similar almost on the left and right edge, like diagonal.

I really like the big one but the little one with the raft looks like it could be cool if explored further! The framing on the big one is really nice and the word "Adventures" curving works really well in my opinion!

And here's the progress of the cover - well, it's maybe already finished, but I want to take some time off and come back to it with a fresh eyes.
