Haha, we can all relate! It's a good choice so far, can't wait to see what you do with the rest!

That’s for all the wonderful feedback everyone!

Here’s the coloured version of the illustration. I’ve size of the wolf a little more from my initial sketch so that’s it stood out more. It also took me a while to figure out the colours and values.

                  Critiques are welcomed!

@Neha-Rawat I think it's really good! The only minor tweak I would maybe suggest is pushing the "tired" look of the wolf. Maybe an extra line under the eyes, or even darkening under the eyes??? Just to really sell the "tired" expression and not "sad". Not sure ... it may not be needed, but just an idea.

@drawnbyshawn thanks shawn! Yes that makes sense since the under eye wrinkle seems to be camouflaging with the fur Colors. Maybe I can add a little redness to the tired eyes! I'll check it out. Thank you! 🙂

Can anyone tell me, where SCBWI announce their drawthis prompts?

@peteolczyk I struggled to find this info, too, and finally realized that their monthly email newsletter update "Insight" has the prompt in it. So that's where I'm going to start looking for it. I think you have to be a member to get it.

@Coreyartus I'm a member, and I can't find it either. The last one I found is for May 😕

@peteolczyk @Coreyartus @Amanda-Jean The prompt word is send out in the newsletter, but the submission process remains exactly the same (same submission address, same requirements as all the other prompts).

So follow the submission steps for may, but put 'dress up draw this' in the subject line 🙂

@peteolczyk @Coreyartus @Amanda-Jean Yes I also became a member only last week and couldn’t find the prompt for August but I found it from another SVS forum post.
SCBWI hasn’t updated the prompt on their website and neither have they uploaded the current months insight. So it was really by chance that I found out topic. The insight newsletter is emailed to all the members on the first of the month.
