Same subjects, more effort
Nice work! It's really hard to get that dark value in bright light effect with ink. That star on the ball looks pretty awesome!

I’m not sure if I got the three different local values right on the cubes? Also, shading a gradient on spheres might just be one of my newest least favourite things to do.... which means more practice is needed. Damn.
Hope everyone’s having a great day and finding time to move that pencil/pen/stylus, etc.!

@Erin-Cortese I love that the book literally says ‘simple guide’ and then proceeds to put what looks like an extremely challenging drawing to pull off on the front cover lol

@Erin-Cortese really nice. wow.

Ok this is gonna be an inktober piece but I’m having trouble with the light from the lantern. I dont think I should have done another lantern on the rabbit but it’s fine.
I was thinking about using a wash but i want to know if anyone would be willing to do a draw over and help me out with doing it with hatching. Pleases.

@Bricz-Art Lol, yup it's not a simple cover...but the title is definitely accurate. The author approaches the concepts in such a simple way, that it makes them very easy to understand and apply. This book is making this class so much easier for me.

@Aleksey Wow, this looks incredible!

I’ve been super busy this week and then tonight when I finally had a chance to work on this, to my frustration the only pens I had with me were tombow markers. You can’t get a thin line with those so it’s the first time I’ve preferred stippling. It was still pretty clunky but I am putting this up to prove that I haven’t completely neglected the homework and to make you all feel good about your vastly superior work! I hope to do better later in the week.
