        @Lee-White I love the idea of using acrylic on the aluminum plate. I just did a picture for my cousin but I used spray paint because it was going to be hung on the side of his house, backyard decor, so it needed to be waterproof . It was 2x3’ and very easy to maneuver. The plate I used had a brush texture on it so it was not glossy. I imagine it would’ve taken acrylic paint well. Are you going to allow the metal to show through or cover the whole thing with a base color or gesso?
