Playin' around with different dabs for my brooshes
-
At the last minute I decided join in this round of animal alphabets over on twitter. The theme is mythical creatures but they already did a round of mythical creatures a few years ago so these are more obscure.
A is for Afanc. A crocodile-beaver that lurks around the lakes of Wales

When you can't sleep you think of strange things to draw like a dragon spider...

Been so busy with packing up house for our move this spring and babysitting grandkids, that I hardly find time for art these days. But doing digital sketch for wall art for my 2 yr old granddaughter’s new room. Tried to incorporate a few of her favourite things - ocean, cardboard box and being er um clothes-free . Also attempting to cartoon her but not sure if it captures her cuteness.

trying to add more kids to my portfolio

Some studies are better (or worse) than others, lol)
-
I started doodling the other night and this dinosaur came out and I started building a scene around it. The kids and background are unfinished. But I’m struggling a little with it. Seeing the value in having a plan lol. At the same time I’m not going too hard on myself as it’s letting me play in procreate and get used to the brushes and the program in general.

@Coley the pale yellow and blue is gorgeous!
-
@Katie-Kordesh thanks! I'm going to play around with contrast and saturation etc but there are some parts of it that I like already. I find any background really hard and maybe especially foliage. Trying to have fun and not stress

Dang @Braden-Hallett, you're jammin' out those studies. The one above is quite charming. Keep up the good work.
I bought a new computer. My credit card is not happy, but my photo shop is very happy.
I'm working on a piece I did for fauxinktober. Trying to spruce it up a bit and decide what the finishing touches will be.
