Hello!
Like real night owl, I'm posting this in 2:00 a.m. :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
This illustration is for my own project for a childrens book aaaand I've finished it 3 days ago, and then came out the february contest theme - the perfect one to enter with this piece! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes:
The text, that comes with this spread is:

***Exhausted by the long road, they moved slowly in the dark forest

• What do we do now? We are completely lost ... - cryed the Queen
• We must continue! I'll find a ford!
  The King reached out to the Queen and hand in hand they’ve continued ahead. The Queen raised her lantern to light the way.
• Do you hear that?
  More and more, a gentle chant began to rise. Lights in sparkling blue lured them as if in a trance. A light flied around them and enticed them to follow it into the swamp. Sparks reappeared in their eyes, and their footsteps became more nimble and secure. They had a purpose again.***

I must say, that the courses from SVS helped me so much with my work! Special thanks to Will Terry, who I see as the real mentor, that I've missed in the Arts Academy!

First time posting on the forum. Quick 10 min sketch on my take on 'NightFall'.

I spent 2017-18 fighting blood cancer, and some of the darkest moments came when night fell in the hospital wards. This image is a quick version of what Nightfall means to me.
