Moving on to the digital part, and wondering which crop is better?

I voted option 1, but I think something in the middle of the two would be good. Maybe just extend option 1 slightly down, but not quite as far as option 2 and leave the tree as is.

I would go for 1, but have a little bit more white space underneath the tree, as it's quite close to the edge right now. I don't think there is any need to move the tree down

Crop 2 definitely looks like it has purposeful space allocated for text. If that's an important quality you feel is important to demonstrate you can accommodate, then I'd use that one. If that's not a factor you feel you need to show with this rendering, then I'd choose Crop 1.
