My robot, Faust, was the best shop assistant that I ever had, until the demon Mephistopheles made a bet with God that he could lure, mine and God's, favourite being, who was striving to learn everything that could be known, away from righteous pursuits.

I have been working developing a new higher energy style for a different project and thought I would test it out on this month's contest.

I am pretty pleased with the results, I think the paper-cut/watercolor medium will add the energy I am looking for to the new project.

Here is my robot that has 'gone bad'?

@EliaMurrayArt thanks. This was my first attempt at anything related to paper-cutting/collage. I learned a lot.

I love the depth that is added by the collage.

I also loved that I could redo each element individually. I went through 3-4 revisions of the girl and 2-3 of the robot.

@EliaMurrayArt yours has such a stop motion film quality to it, I can totally imagine it as an animation still. Really lovely. I'm trying to limit myself to only building with paper, super fun!
