I am learning so much from these. I know I keep saying that, but I'm walking away with a TON of new info!

This week on Saturday May 2nd at 11:00 AM PST (this one's at a different time!) we have @nadyart showcasing her process! https://nadyart.me/

Thanks again to @xin-li for the run through of how you approached your first publishing gig. I learned a lot!

If you'd like a link to the presentation or an invite to the facebook pace, feel free to shoot me a PM.

See you all on Saturday! I'm enjoying these so much πŸ˜ƒ

@Braden-Hallett Looks like I missed it, too... Hadn't checked the forum in a couple of days, since I'm in the midst of a project which keeps me busy 25/8 at the moment, and simply assumed it would be around the same time as the previous ones. Bummer!

I hope the publisher likes stick figures!!

@nadyart Thank you so much for the presentation! I haven't seen a technique quite like it, and I'm so tempted to play around and see if I can utilize some aspects of it. I know a lot of work was put in beforehand, but it was such a treat to see the gorgeous colors and textures straight away in the Photoshop process. Still can't get over your cute frowny fish.

@nadyart thank you so much for the presentation. I really enjoyed it.
@TessaW I recommend trying the method. I had chated up with Nadya a bit about the process earlier, and I was doing a piece trying out her process today. The struggle is real. But the result really has a different quality to it than my digital painting, even though I am a newbie with watercolor and have very little control with the medium.

@nadyart Thanks so much!! That was personally inspiring to me, and I think I'm going to try your method for myself! I hadn't really thought of using elements of a watercolor image as a type of "collage" as it seemed so inherently linked to the paper's textured surface, but now seeing how you've done it (and used the clone tool, too!) I'm much more confident. Thank-you so much for sharing!!

@xin-li I may have to! I like the fact that the textures and colors give you a starting point with some guidelines to work with once you bring it in digitally. It does seem a bit daunting, but it also looks really fun as well. Have you shared any of the pieces you've used the technique with?

@TessaW I have not finished the piece yet today. I posted a bit of WIP on my IG stories. I hope to get future tomorrow and maybe post the piece here in the forum.

I thought everyone was able to see the pop up boxes in Photoshop too, like the importing of scanned files and such. But I guess this isn’t visible, that may have been confusing, sorry!
