@KajsaH - Both of these have a fun energy to them. I love the dog / fox! It's so cute. 🙂 I also like the texture of the plants on the hills.

@silvialcg - Yes, I have a hard time finishing drawings, too! (Partly from being at a beginner level, and partly due to my health.)

I've been meaning to watch and 'paint' along with some SVS videos. I know Will Terry had one a little while ago. I can come up with a sketch that looks ok, but I don't have any painting / coloring skills. Lee's texture videos on YouTube have been very inspiring—it was exactly what I was wanting! Nice textures can add so much to an illustration.

As with anything—we just need to keep learning & practicing. Also, I think it helps to not worry about how fast you progress if you don't have a lot of time to put into it—just enjoy being creative. If improving your skill is more of a priority, check out Jake Parker's advice for being productive / time management. He has some YouTube videos with great advice on that topic.

@aprilshin - I like your monkey and alligator characters! I also like the way you used texture in your illustrations.

@Miriam Thank you, Miriam! I've been feeling super discouraged these days, but your comment is encouraging. Thank you again! ❤

@Miriam Thanks for the tips! I’ve been much faster with the July contest project... so hopefully getting there!

Does anyone know when and how we know who the selected student is? Never done this before. @Lee-White @Will-Terry

The drawings are really great. I can't even believe that people who have not graduated from some special art schools can draw like that. By the way, if you are an artist and at the same time a student and it is difficult for you to combine study with your hobby, then when you have a lot of homework, which is to write research papers, then you can use the site, which helps students in writing papers for which students pay rather big money because the quality of the written papers is really decent.
