Picture book page layout questions

Hi guys! I wanna put a 32 page picture book dummy together.
I'd love just a thumbs up/thumbs down yes/no from someone who knows for certain the normal number of illustrated spreads in a 32 pager. I found this handy infographic with 2 examples, but would love to be certain

@Braden-Hallett Iโve seen many variations on the 32 page layout. So I donโt think there is a sternly fixed standard. The one i follow I got from Dani Ducks Smart Dummies challenge. Iโll post it tomorrow, itโs on my computer.
The next challenge opens August 10. Complete a dummy in one month. Itโs pretty great. And itโs free -
@Braden-Hallett I've just completed a dummy book and this is what I've followed as well (the colored ends layout). I suppose 30 would be the maximum but 28 illustrated pages is also pretty common for a 32 page book.

@burvantill Thanks! I'll have to check that out

When I was at uni (studied illustration at a British university) we were taught to follow the self-ended picture book layout that you posted. So there are 12 double page spreads of actual story. Maybe that's the more common way in the UK? I'm not sure- but I'm sure for a dummy book either is acceptable!

This one is from Dani Duck,
Dummy Template.pdfI think this one from E. Dulemba is a little better.

@burvantill Thanks so much

I think there is something to it: the UK and US difference.
The book I am working on now is from a UK publisher, it follows self-ended picture book layout (the page breakdown was given to me by the publisher).
