@dafoota these are great! I love the movement of the line drawing.
-
@dafoota - what a great idea for a challenge! The first image is awesome and I love the extreme perspective right in close to the claws, very effective. I also love the little guy on the bottom left image!
-
@burvantill @Lorna-H thank you for the kind words and time taken to share them. Also thank you for allowing me to share. The challenge will get boring but that will be the moment when your creativity will be able to flourish....some days itβs just a doodle and it really is disgusting to look at. However, I love that about looking at all the work. Thanks again for your time and encouragement. Much love!

Here is my continuation of the acronym. I never know what to draw. W is for weretiger.

Started a new piece today. I have several "mice" images in my portfolio and got feedback that I should consider adding more as they thought they were a lot of fun. I decided to make another one, and I'm toying with the idea of maybe mocking up a "Day in the Life of Miceville" (?) dummy, but I need to ponder an actual story instead of little snapshots. Still, these are fun for me and I'm enjoying making them. I've got a seriously long long way to go on this one (this is just a thumb at this point), but it's what I'm working on currently!
-
@chrisaakins I really like this!
-
@burvantill thanks! I am sosososo happy how it turned out. I tried just painting with no line work. I may try this more.
-
@chrisaakins wow this is stunning!
-
@dafoota awww thanks!!!
-
@chrisaakins Yes, I agree with the others. It was very striking when the image popped up for me! So cool!
-
@TessaW it was so fun and relatively easy for me to do. Now I just need to figure out how I can use this style for illustrations. Any ideas?
-
Trying to make time to finish some paintings, acrylics on canvas,...and other projects.

Hello, long-time lurker, first time posting! It's really cool to see what everyone is working on... so I thought I'd add mine to the mix. For the last several months I've been mostly just been sketchbooking with ink and copic markers. This last weekend, I decided to experiment with mixed media by adding in some acrylic glazes. I used the colors straight from the tube and I think they are are a little bright, but I plan to experiment more with this process more in August. Been also thinking about playing around with some colored inks and watercolor.
I am thinking a lot about Inktober, but haven't started any real work on it yet. I actually have an Art-cation planned for the first week of September and will be using the time to get a head start on my pencils... and I can't wait!
-
@Sarah-Simpson This is super fun! Art-cation sounds brilliant.
Though when I saw the question if we're prepping for Inktober I panicked a little because I thought I'd somehow lost a whole month.
-
@Sarah-Simpson Gorgeous use of colour!

Hi everyone! It's nice to stay connected to all you artists on the forums. I finished this today. This is my holiday card for 2020, both for friends/family and to sell to the retailers that carry my greeting cards. "Gingerbird House"
-
@jsnzart wow. Very nice.
-
@ina LOL. I only asked because I had something elaborate planned last year and I regretted not starting my prep work early.
-
@jsnzart have you ever tried to use Pan pastels (powder pastel pure pigment inside clear pans)? These paintings remind me of that medium and it's great for not using line work also. Fun!
-
@burvantill Thank you.
