Been drawing unicorns and experimenting with little illustrations with the unicorns in different places around the world, here they are swimming in a gentle watrefall. I am starting the final push to finish my first picture book dummy. It has been something I had to put to the side on and off through the year and now is the most exciting part because I can see the finish line!!
This dog was for the colourcollective challenge this month.

@Judy-Elizabeth-Wilson thank you!
-
@Mary-Toth I used a free template from Covervault to mock up the book!
-
@Mary-Toth Thank you very much. That makes me feel great! A few people have said that.
Hopefully finish it soon,...lots of details to add. -
@Joanne-Roberts Thank you very much.
I taught myself how to paint with acrylics. And those are maybe my 7th and 8th paintings with acrylics.
And I painted this fan art for my daughter, yesterday and today,...about 10 hours.
Acrylics on paper. And a little colour pencil. About W26cm X H23.5cm
And I am surprised how well they're going on paper! Cheap painting paper for kids, etc.
I agree. And there aren't many videos on painting realistically with acrylics.
But, I found some on YouTube. And on muddycolors dot com.
Mainly fantasy illustrators, and they're awesome.Also, there are videos here on SVSlearn. from Will Terry on painting with acrylics. Or find his YouTube channel.
He is very good with acrylics. And a great teacher.It might take me a while to teach it. But, ask me anything and I'll do my best to answer.

I've been working through the prop design course for the past month, and I just finished it up! Here is my complete prop ensemble. My concept was centered around a steampunkish Alice In Wonderland. These were made for none other than the queen of hearts

@Judy-Elizabeth-Wilson I love the unicorns so much!!!
-
my dark secret is that I know how well Peanut butter would work as a bribe on a giant mouse because it's what we use around the house to bait out traps
-
I finished the piece for the From Seed to Table competition. Thank you so much, everyone who has given valueable feedback, and cheering me up along the way. It has been some crazy weeks in both my personal life and artist career. We just moved our home, and now I just want to be a tree with roots and never need to move again.
And also a spot image from an eventful rainy day.
