Inktober Day Seventeen - Storm
My "first" late post of the challenge! Hopefully it won't happen again, at least not to this extent, but here's my drawing for day 17.
I was having a tough time coming up with an idea that was both simple, yet told a story. After a lot of the thinking and thumbnailing, an image by @AnthonyWheeler of his skeleton character Wally having tea (or coffee, maybe) with Frankenstein's Monster came into my head and I figured the prompt, "Storm" would be a great opportunity to draw something Frankenstein-related. (So thank you for the inspiration Mr. Wheeler! You draw some awesome work!)
Originally, I aimed to draw in a more realistic style, but I couldn't figure out how to fit Frankenstein's Monster on the page. Usually Frankenstein's monster has a very flat-top head/hair shape in popular culture, so that inspired me to draw in a more geometric style for the rest of the post. It won't work for everything, but I think it works out well here.
If I could continue this piece, I think I would add a grey wash on the interior section of the image (probably including over the characters, too), just so that the lightning would stand out more.

I did notice that my perspective on the pumpkin is too low.
