@Griffin Very cool. Looking forward to seeing more.

So many peoples in one shot. Think I'm gonna jam in some more, too.

Currently I'm working on illustrations with cartoony dragons. I am actually working on the way overdue "Dragonfly" prompt... In preparation for that I did a bookmark design for "St Jordi's day" which is a big celebration in Catalonia (the day of the book and the rose). This is for a contest at my son's school:
This is done with markers, ink (callibrated pen) and prismacolor color pens for the greens.
-
@Griffin Very cool! That would make a great background for a video game
-
@miranda-hoover thank you! It definitely has some video game art inspiration
-
A couple of color drafts for my book...this has been challenging but I think Iβm getting my second wind!
-
Finished spot illustrations on my 2-page spread!
On to the next 2 pages!
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos I am enjoying this series. =)x
-
I had this old painting of the koi with the waterfall for some concept art I did for a game and I decided to add the sky and the cat to give it a little story
-
Working on a poem my mom wrote when she was in elementary school that somehow got published in the newspaper.
In the morning it's so sweet
birds are going tweet tweet tweet
leaves are falling like the rain
and hitting on the windowpane -
Doing a digital rework of an acrylic painting I made for my nephew last summer, adding characters, trying to control focal points.
-
So cool to see so much projects in the works. I'm working on some general character designs focusing on head and body shapes for a picture book that a friend and I are working on. I'm still trying to figure out who this person is and if in fact it needs to be a person. So, exploring along.

@carlianne So cute!
-
@miranda-hoover thank you!!

Calling this one done and moving on I think. Feedback in my house is some of the 'story' doesn't make sense... but I'm happy with the rendering and am just going to walk away now...
-
@Valerie-Light Love this! The focal point is definitely on the characters, nice work!

So when I was a kid, my favorite pictures were always the ones that had tons of detail. So my personal challenge this weekend was to make a picture that had a ton of detail but to use color to give it a focal point. I picked monsters singing because I completely love to draw monsters and I saw a picture of children singing in a choir and I was completely in love with all their expressions and thought it would be fun to do a monster version, lol. Here is the sketch and the final color version:
