My latest pencil illustration. Unfortunately theres a line running through the image. Didnt quite manage to photoshop it away. Also the back wheel is a bit off. Apart from that I think i am happy with it.

@lizardillo Really nice idea with the woodpeckers ! They both already look great in those frames to me, so I think any upgrades you make with the frames and paper can only elevate them even more

@Kim-Rosenlof @burvantill no I have not yet, they only exist as these. I was thinking of getting a few prints professionally made but a little cautious as not sure if anyone would want them! Thank you that’s really given me a boost to do it.

I will have a look at printers and see about getting a limited run done and keep you up to date. I have been trying to set up a shop on my Squarespace site so I will carry on trying to get my head around that. I’m a bit groggy from my Covid shot yesterday so I’m not sure I can tackle that today

If anyone has any recommendations of good art printers in the UK then that would be lovely thanks.

@brettb_draws thank you. We are quite into bird spotting and nature so I like drawing the subject. The bird at the bottom trying to hold them up is a Goldcrest, the UK’s smallest bird. I’m going to look into getting a short print run done professionally. I think would probably have to sell unframed as the frames are quite heavy and bulky to post.

I promised trees and cows so here you go. The cow is actually a Scottish Highland bull - I am in western NY state but a local Scot native raises these. I learned that speed painting houses is easier than speed painting woods because the trees end up looking like a blob.

I was hiking in Chimney Bluffs State Park on Lake Ontario, NY and saw belted kingfishers nesting in the bluffs. They were quite agitated by an oblivious teen flying a drone over the bluffs which inspired this slightly exaggerated painting.

My current book project includes mostly kids playing with puppies. Once that's all done I'm gonna do a bunch of middle grade interiors featuring dinosaurs, explosions, motorbikes and other loud and awesome things. As a palate cleanser

@Larue On digital there are ways of capturing likenesses better than depending on my eyeballs and drawing skills.
