      @Asyas_illos I agree with @Larue - a side angle would work better, I couldn't immediately work out his front paws...:)

              I flipped the canvas and discovered I like the orange patches on his other side.

                @Asyas_illos SO very cute!

                Just two little observations:

                1. The front view looks head-on instead of 3/4 view -- would hate for a little thing like that to keep this cutie out of the top 16.
                2. The stark black base color is so deep it makes him hard to read. Lightening it just a tad could help. What about testing out a deep indigo, charcoal, or inky purple base color? It might read as black but would be more visually interesting and allow for more value which will make him easier to read.

                Loving what you've come up with so far! Looking forward to seeing where you go from here.

                    @Melissa-Bailey-0 thanks for your input, it’s helpful as always! I will add some more highlights when I am done with all the images to hopefully add a bit more dimension to the black. 😸

                      So I decided to use the pounce for the close up and went with a different running pose. But I’m having trouble with the ears? I m not sure if it’s working or should they both be back maybe almost completely flat?

                                  So after sitting down with my daughter to take a closer look at koalas we discovered they don’t have a tail . Like AT ALL. I thought they at least had like a little flap tail kinda like a panda but nope no flap, nothing. So I adjusted my character accordingly.😅

                                        @Asyas_illos He is so cute and… koala! as he sleeps up the tree 🙂
                                        I like the ideea and look of the character. One thing I noticed, and maybe it’s giving him extra personality, is that he looks like a kid and a little old man at the same time (the glasses and fluffy ears combo). The cat is very cute but the koala might be more interesting. Curious to see how you color it!
